The former Strikeforce, k-1, and Dream Heavyweight Champion, Alistair Overeem, entered the UFC with everyone including himself believing that he can demolish any heavyweight in the world. With the first win over the former UFC heavyweight champion, Brock Lesnar, Overeem was just one step away from the Belt. After two continuous KO lose everything changed for him.

His decision win over Frank Mir wasn’t really helpful as he lost again later on against Rothwell with another first round Knockout.

He is really in a bad spot now, and might seem that UFC has to cut him off the promotion, but Dana White, UFC president, sees it in another perspective.

“He’s still ranked in the top-10,” UFC President Dana White said on Wednesday’s edition of ‘UFC Tonight.’ “He’s still one of the top-10 heavyweights in the world, and we’ll get him another fight.”
